What each one measures

RLI Index
Total concurrent players across ROLearn's tracked Roblox universe, divided by a fixed base taken at the index's inception, times 100. A value of 100 means the tracked market is exactly where it was at inception. The base is a constant and is never recomputed, because moving it would silently rewrite every historical value this publication has printed.
Roblox CCU (tracked)
The raw concurrent-player total behind the RLI. It is labelled tracked because it counts the games in our collection set, which is a large sample of Roblox and not all of it. Anyone quoting it as a platform-wide figure is quoting it wrong.
Trending now
How many tracked games currently sit above the trend-score threshold. It is a breadth measure: it moves when many games are rising at once, not when one very large game is.

Underlying collection is described in the research methodology. Where an index depends on a third-party API, its coverage is bounded by what that API returns, and that bound is stated in the methodology rather than hidden in the number.

Indices are revised when a data source is corrected upstream. Revisions are logged on the corrections page like any other change to a published number.
